When authors write about tough topics, there are bound to be some knee jerk reactions. Unfortunately, I know what it's like to have a massive loss at a young age… and some of these pages were a bit triggering and comforting at the same time. Watching Ivy and Kemp grow and change throughout these pages was a delight and I'd read another book with these same characters. I always enjoy a story more when it feels like I'm reading about someone I could meet/or have known. Not only is the writing strong but our main characters are likeable and tangible. I love a book that pulls you in and even if you're not sure where it's going, you know it's going to pan out and be satisfying. The plot is unique and the details are calculated. This story is all about Ivy trying to figure out how to get rid of the ghostly visions and continue on without her sister.įirst things first, I devoured this book in a single sitting.
